Triathlon is a dynamic sport; I believe you have to approach it from a long-term
perspective. While triathlon consists of three sports, it cannot be viewed as three
separate events; it is the sum total that makes it a unique sport. As an USA
Triathlon certified coach, my philosophy is simple; triathlon is a life long health
and fitness activity, it's a life sport. I want to introduce the sport of triathlon
to youth and beginning juniors as a great way to get physically fit for a lifetime.
Age appropriate training is key to ensuring young triathletes develop properly
and compete at their best. My goal as a T3 coach is to enhance youth and juniors'
performance through proper technique, training and recovery. The end result is
achieving a feeling of success and accomplishment throughout the sport of triathlon.
I am confident that I will be able to help them set realistic and achievable goals
while making their training exciting, fun rewarding but most importantly, Safe!
